We provide immunization services for the flu (3-strain, 4-strain, high-dose), shingles (zostavax), and pneumonia (Prevnar 13, Pneumovax 23). Most insurance plans cover this service. We accept Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, TRICARE and many private insurance plans.
Which immunization is right for you?
The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year.
Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season.
Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that can cause mild to severe illness in people of all ages. Common signs of pneumonia can include cough, fever, and trouble breathing. Vaccination is recommended for those 65 years of age and older.
Shingles is caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays dormant (inactive) in the body. Almost 1 out of every 3 people in the United States will develop shingles, also known as zoster or herpes zoster, in their lifetime.
CDC recommends that people 60 years old and older get shingles vaccine to prevent shingles and PHN.
We work with your physician to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
